Multidisciplinary feasible approach is implemented to decompose a coupling variable in a mission and a weight analysis module effectively. The necessary low-fidelity codes, which are based on empirical equations, are developed and validated for aircraft conceptual design. Meanwhile, the strategy of MFM, which constructs accurate and reliable meta-models by using the high-fidelity analysis, is implemented to improve the accuracy of the design method for UCAVs without any noticeable increase in design turnaround time. Minimization of multi-objective design optimization which consists of range and weight is performed and the design result shows the feasibility and effectiveness of the present multi-fidelity technique under MDO problem.

Multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Task Allocation Based on Cloud Mode
For multimulti-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) air combat decision problems, this paper proposes a multi-UAV task allocation method based on cloud model. Firstly, we analyses air combat situation advantage of random and fuzzy information. The cloud model is applied to multi-UAV task allocation. We establish air combat superiority index model based on cloud model. And then through comprehensive cl...
متن کاملCollaborative Tactical Behaviors for Autonomous Ground and Air Vehicles
Tactical behaviors for autonomous ground and air vehicles are an area of high interest to the Army. They are critical for the inclusion of robots in the Future Combat System (FCS). Tactical behaviors can be defined at multiple levels: at the Company, Platoon, Section, and Vehicle echelons. They are currently being defined by the Army for the FCS Unit of Action. At all of these echelons, unmanne...
متن کاملIn-Trim Flight Investigations of a Conceptual Fluidic Thrust-Vectored Unmanned Tail-Sitter Aircraft
The feasibility of using a stand alone Fluidic Thrust-Vectoring (FTV) system for the purpose of longitudinal trim of an unmanned aerial vehicle is the focus of the research presented in this paper. Since the fluidic thrust vectoring requires high pressure secondary air to deflect the engine exhaust gases, this research also provides an analytical toolset for preliminary sizing of a suitable sec...
متن کاملDesign of An Agent-Based Logistics Simulation Tool
The military logistics community requires a scalable, high fidelity simulation capability for modeling the detailed, dynamic, logistics activities of a distributed military organization. Furthermore, such detailed logistics simulations could be coupled with existing combat simulations to understand better the impact of logistics activities upon combat operations. BBN is developing a scalable, a...
متن کاملODIN – AN UNDERWATER WARFARE SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT Terence Robinson
This paper describes the capability, design and application of the generic underwater warfare simulation environment ODIN. The model was developed by QinetiQ, previously DERA (Defence Evaluation and Research Agency), to model the detailed underwater interaction between surface ship/submarine/UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) platforms, torpedoes and countermeasures. It was originally developed ...
